Sources and editorial approach

Updated 30 October 2026

What we publish

Generator Library publishes interactive tools and short explanatory guides. Creative collections are labelled as ideas. Factual collections use named references, such as public institutions, research databases, museums and botanical extension services. A reference link is a starting point for checking a claim, not an endorsement of this website.

How software and content are prepared

AI-assisted development is used to help prepare software and draft content. Automated checks test code and collection structure; source references and limitations are provided for factual material. These checks do not establish that every entry is correct, independently reviewed or suitable for a particular use. Report errors through the contact form.

Original value and source material

We combine filters, shuffled collections, bilingual explanations and practical instructions. We summarise factual material rather than reproduce source articles. Scientific names and source labels may retain their original spelling. Images, commercial card artwork, film clips and album recordings are not bundled with the generators. Linked or explicitly loaded third-party videos remain subject to their providers’ terms and availability.

Dataset credits

Geography selections adapt GeoNames data through filtering and localised display names. Fossil selections adapt taxonomic and occurrence-age records from the Paleobiology Database and its contributing researchers.

GeoNames · Paleobiology Database · CC BY 4.0. Structured film and music metadata drawn from Wikidata is CC0; other source material retains its own terms. Source links do not imply endorsement. Wikidata licensing.

Counts and repetition

We distinguish species from genus-level entries, subjects from individual fact cards, and ingredient combinations from separate tested recipes. A large count is not a claim of a complete scientific inventory. No-repeat rounds refer to matching records in the current page session; small filters exhaust sooner, and different tools can share a collection.

Health, food and wildlife

Health and wildlife entries are educational. They do not diagnose conditions, prescribe doses, identify a specimen safely or replace professional advice. Medicinal cards retain both evidence and cautions. Toxicity labels describe the cited source, not a prediction about an exposure. Food and fitness guides explain their scope and relevant practical precautions. We do not claim clinical review or individual recipe testing.

History and uncertainty

History tools identify the place and period covered. Historical constitutional text is not presented as a complete statement of current law. Taxonomy, public datasets and external pages can change. We describe the limits of the source selection instead of filling gaps with invented facts.

Corrections and maintenance

If you spot a wrong fact, unclear translation, broken link or unsuitable result, send the page URL, the result and a reliable reference if available. We review reports and correct the affected collection or guide when warranted. We do not promise a fixed response time or that every external link is continuously checked.
