What makes this a curated book picker?
Each included record documents recognition by at least one of these awards: the Hugo or Nebula for Best Novel, Booker Prize, International Booker Prize, Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, or National Book Award for Fiction. This makes the selection rule explicit; it is not a fabricated star rating or a claim that every reader agrees.
Title, author, year and edition
The bibliographic snapshot comes from Wikidata’s CC0 structured records. Spanish titles are shown when supplied by the source; otherwise the documented title is retained. Years use the earliest recorded publication and may differ from the edition or translation you find. Unspecified genres remain under Other rather than being guessed.
How repeated draws work
Each matching item is drawn once before the matching collection starts a new round. Changing filters keeps track of matching items already shown while the page stays open. A small filtered collection will be exhausted sooner. Reloading the page starts a fresh session; no account or saved reading history is used.
Common questions
Does it generate fictional book titles?
No. It draws existing titles with their authors and documented publication years.
Will every result suit my reading preferences?
No. Awards are a discovery criterion. Read a synopsis or sample and check content and age suitability before choosing.
