How to use this generator
- Decide what heads and tails represent before you flip.
- Select Flip coin and wait for the result.
- Flip again for another draw. Turn Animate flips on or off to suit your preference.
Examples
- Heads: go first. Tails: let the other player start.
- Heads: choose the first of two films. Tails: choose the second.
Equal odds on every flip
Heads and tails each have a 1-in-2 chance. The result comes from your browser’s cryptographic random source. The coin animation reveals that result; its duration does not change the odds.
Why the same result can appear again
Two heads in a row are possible, and a short run does not have to contain equal numbers of heads and tails. A previous flip does not make the opposite result due next. The page keeps no permanent flip history.
Common questions
Can I turn the animation off?
Yes. Use Animate flips. Your preference is remembered on this device when browser storage is available.
What if I need more than two choices?
Use Random Decision to enter your own list, or Random Number for a numbered range.
No account is needed. Inputs and results stay in your browser; optional analytics counts usage without collecting them.
