What the 195 entries cover

The scope is the 193 UN member states plus Vatican City / Holy See and State of Palestine. It is a defined learning collection, not an exhaustive list of every territory or a decision on recognition and borders. GeoNames supplies the continent assignments; transcontinental countries use one assignment for filtering.

How a round avoids repeats

Each matching record is used once before that pool starts another round. Changing a filter keeps the visit’s seen-record history; restrictive filters have fewer real matches and will finish sooner. Reloading or opening another page starts a fresh session.

Common questions

Why can a country name change with the interface?

Country display names use English or Spain Spanish conventions. The underlying two-letter identity remains the same.

Are these travel recommendations?

No. This tool selects country names for discovery or study. It does not assess entry rules or current conditions.
